African Poetry Library, Kenya (Nairobi)
THE AFRICAN POETRY LIBRARY IN KENYA began at the Kwani Arts Trust in Nairobi in 2014, and it was organized by poets Clifton Gachagua and Billy Kahora but was later moved to the Goethe-Institut. Eliphas Nyamogo, head of the Information and Library Department of the Goethe- Institut managed collection and hosted a re-launch on April 30th, 2015. The library remained at the Goethe temporarily until June 2017, when it returned to its home at Kwani Arts Trust, where it is now managed by Billy Kahora and Tom Maliti, Chairman of the Board at Kwani Arts Trust.
