THE POETRY LIBRARY IN UGANDA was launched on September 15th, 2014, to coincide with the opening of the Babishai Niwe Poetry Foundation Festival in Kampala. Poet Beverley Nambozo Nsengigunya was influential in making connections with Fred Batale, who established the library at the Ugandan Arts Trust in Kampala. It is currently managed by Teesa Bahana, Director at the Ugandan Arts Trust.
