Imo Nse Imeh is a Nigerian American visual artist and scholar of African diaspora art and aesthetics, and an assistant professor of art and art history at Westfield State University in Massachusetts. He is the author of Daughters of Seclusion: The Revelation of the Ibibio “Fattened Bride” as the Icon of Beauty and Power (Peter Lang, 2012), a book based on his doctoral research at Yale University, on the Ibibio women’s ritual known as mbopo.
